Late Summer Show 2008

There were over 300 entries to the Show despite recent weather conditions and other major attractions on the day and attendance was reported to be good. Exhibits ranged from Flowers, Vegetables, Fruit, Handicrafts, Home Industries and Photography.  Trophies were presented to the winners by Councillor Margaret Kimberley

Trophies were awarded as follows

JOHN FLACK CUP  for most points in Vegetables, Flower and Fruit open classes - Shirley Sawkins

ALDOUS CHALLENGE CUP for runner up in above - David and Judith Cooper

USHER CHALLENGE CUP for most points in Vegetable classes - Shirley Sawkins

CHALLENGE CUP (Novice) best exhibit Flowers Fruit and Vegetables - Max Weir

FRANK CSERWENKA CUP  for best exhibit Potatoes - Shirley Sawkins

MARY KENT CUP  for most points fruit classes - David and Judith Cooper

SOCIETY CHALLENGE CUP for most points in Flower classes - Heather Cook
